My Thanksgiving thoughts
The 7 wonders of the world are nice, but I can do without them.
Here are some greater wonders that I would rather not do without, although some less fortunate people do not have these blessings, for which most of us take for granted but they are truly greater wonders.

To be able to see.
To be able to hear.
To be able to smell.
To be able to taste.
To be able to touch and feel.
To be able to laugh.
To be able to love and feel many other emotions.
To be able to communicate and form friendships and bonds.
To be mobile, to be able to walk and run.
To be able to ponder the vastness of the universe and the diverse forms of life on land and sea.
There are too many others to mention.

The phrase "stop and smell the roses" pales in comparison to this song.

O Lord my God, when I in awesome wonder,
Consider all the worlds Thy hand hath made,
I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder,
Thy works thruout the universe displayed.

(Refrain)
Then sings my soul, my Savior God to Thee,
How great Thou art, how great Thou art,How great Thou art, how great Thou art,
Then sings my soul, my Savior God to Thee,
How great Thou art, how great Thou art,How great Thou art, how great Thou art,

When thru the woods, and forest glades I wander,
And hear the birds sing sweetly in the trees,
When I look down, from lofty mountain grandeur,
Or hear the brook, and feel the gentle breeze,

(Refrain)

And when I think, that God's own Son not sparing
Sent Him to die, I scarce can take it in,
That on the cross, my burden gladly sharing,
He bled and died, to take away my sin,

(Refrain)

When Christ shall come, with shout of acclamation,
To take me home, such joy shall fill my heart,
Then I will bow, in humble adoration,
And there declare, my God how great Thou art,

(Refrain)
