You might be somewhat amused by my misadventures on the link below. Among them are my first softball pitching experience, trying to bowl a 300 game, first chess tournament, first tennis match, and almost figuring out how to putt.

We all think we would do things differently if we had our life to do over again. But guess what? Today is the first day of the rest of your life, so do something about it. It is never too late.

Life can be as much fun as you want it to be, make a wish list and go for it.

Too bogged down, too busy to think about it? Take time to appreciate the world's beauty, stop and smell the roses. Marvel at the many intricacies of nature.

Here is a way to make life better...both for you and for others

Words of wisdom from Zig Ziglar and Earl Nightingale -

You can get anything you want I life, all you have to do is help other people get what they want.

Think about it. What goes around, comes around.

People will feel obliged to be there for you, if you have been there for them before.

Don’t be like the man who said to the stove "Give me heat and then I will give you fuel". There is not going to be any heat until you provide the fuel.

Figure out who are the people who are in a position to help you the most, and figure out what you can do to please them, and always be quick to respond to any request from them.

The final 3 Traits from Think And Grow Rich are all related.

11. SUBCONSCIOUS MIND
Most people do not realize how powerful an ally or how powerful an enemy this can be. You cannot directly control the subconscious mind, but you can influence it over time by autosuggestion.
Plant only positive thoughts of faith and confidence. Follow hunches. Picture success scenarios. Use this to develop a 6th sense of advanced intuition.

12. THE BRAIN
Know when to use both the conscious part and the subconscious part...appreciate its potential and challenge it, stretch it. It has the power to bring you anything you wish, just use it properly. Treat it like a garden. It is your choice whether or not you want to cultivate beauty or let it go to weeds.

13. 6TH SENSE
This can only be used if the above 12 steps are already in place. This is the source of your flashes of inspiration and hunches. All creating starts with simple concepts. You cannot turn this on and off at will, but relaxing helps. This usually works better as you get older, probably because you have more experiences to draw from.

Trait #10 from Think And Grow Rich

ENTHUSIASM

If you desire something, don’t be passive about it.

If you don’t feel enthusiastic, ACT enthusiastic anyway until it becomes a habit.

Habits are not broken, they are replaced by other habits.

Logic will not change an emotion, but action will.

Trait #9 from Think and Grow Rich.

MASTERMIND GROUP

Nobody knows everything. Many heads are better than one.

Take part in group discussions to learn more. Have brainstorming sessions with rules that disallow criticism, because sometimes an idea comes out that sounds silly at first, but it triggers someone else to add to it and improve it.

Criticism might intimidate people from expressing what might have resulted in a really good new idea.

Pick your group members carefully. Avoid negative attitudes.

Trait #8 from Think And Grow Rich

PERSISTENCE

Cultivate a state of mind that builds the power of your will.

Persistence is the difference between success and failure. Is Babe Ruth known more for his large number of strikeouts, or his home runs? Is Thomas Edison known more for his thousands of failures or for his successes?

You can’t win a point in a tennis game unless you attempt to return every shot.

Refuse to fold. This requires the type of effort that separates the the men from the boys, or the women from the girls.

Have the courage to know what you want, and the desire to get it.

Good habits bring good results automatically.

A big shot is nothing more than a little shot who kept on shooting.
