Lent Day 18
The Eighth Beatitude is "Blessed are they who are persecuted for justice’s sake, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven".
Be brave when you are criticized for your beliefs. Trust the Holy Spirit to support you. Respect proper authorities. Develop the personal self discipline to do what you are asked, even when you may not entirely enjoy it or agree with it.
Here is how to get blessings for suffering. Learn the daily Morning Offering prayer "O Jesus, thru the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I offer Thee all my prayers, works, joys, and sufferings of this day, for all the intentions of Thy Sacred Heart, in union with the most holy sacrifice of the Mass throughout the world, in reparation for my sins, for the intentions of our associates, and in particular, for the Pope’s intentions and the souls in Purgatory. Amen.

- Life is not about just me, it is about what I can do to somehow make the world a better place. I have to ask myself daily, what did I do today, make someone smile or frown? If I did the former, I am doing my job. If the latter, I have to revisit why I am here. Maybe the frown was the result of something I said for their own good, but they did not accept it. I cannot help that, because you can lead a horse to water but you cannot make the horse drink. That does not imply that I know everything, but I can only speak from my own experiences. Experience sometimes means I have found lots of ways to make mistakes, but mistakes can be the best teachers. Life is choices, I can choose to let everyone learn from their own mistakes, or share my experiences, and by doing so, hopefully help someone avoid the same mistakes.
